Wow. Long time no post. Happy New Year to all you Haters from Jonathan Littman and myself. We've been busy on many other fronts but we continue to keep Hate alive in a number of little ways. That includes spreading it under the guise of being kind to others.
We had a request a few months ago from Faith Knight, an author and Project Management Professional, who was working on a new book about how people are the core of any project that you might be working on. And, it turns out, that those people may take some finessing...er, understanding when it comes to getting them to all work together for the common good.
Ms. Knight wanted permission to use our little quiz — Do You Hate People? (the one that appears in our I Hate People! book and on this very website) — as a way to get readers into her subject at hand. What a great way to perpetuate our message! Of course we said yes.
And now Faith's book is out in the world! Entitled Projects Are People, Too! A Guide to Getting Along So You Can Get Some Work Done and it's up on Amazon and other places just waiting for you to warm yourself on her insights.
Do it!

2012 rocks the Hate. She who laughs last and hates (not to mention saves!) laughs best. Guys - Teflon Cell Tower has been "dismantled", she and the people responsible for her elevation have been reassigned to a "project" at HQ. My corporate moles insist CTC's complete demise is imminent. My underlings are safe!! Safe! Ah, sweet justice....

Ah. Project teams. Can't we all just get along? Before I answer with a resounding "No", I'll have to read Faith's book. I was JUST thinking about how much noise there's been in the media lately regarding bad bosses. What about "Foelleagues"?.
You know who they are, those friendly people you work with who won't lift a pinky finger to help you? Or mock you while they are flirting with the boss in the office next door? Picture an army of happy, smiling Switchblades and Stop Signs.
Since I left the hate factory, they tear up every time they see me thinking about the good old days and how everything fell apart after my departure. Really?? Like I don't know they're being nice to me because they are all getting laid off and need references/new jobs? The only reason I go visit is because I lost 15 pounds, look 10 years younger and have no fat mortgage to worry about.
